Over 1000 attendees will come together this week in Baoshan, Shanghai, China to meet, learn and network with key cruise industry stakeholders.
Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific is the region’s leading cruise event, bringing together senior global cruise line executives and Chinese government officials to discuss challenges and opportunities in the Asia Pacific cruise market.
Delegates will hear from representatives from all areas of the industry at this conference led event which also includes a showcase exhibition including representatives from ports, destinations, IT/technology and shipyard suppliers.
Mainland China is the world’s number 2 source market since 2016 and is on a positive road to becoming a cruise shipbuilding hub with the first of eleven purpose-built cruise ships delivered earlier this year.
Asia saw year-on-year growth within several source markets in 2018 including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong SAR and South Korea. From 2016-2018, the continuous growth of the region resulted in a record-high 4.24 million people taking on ocean cruise–an increase of 4.6% year-on-year.
Colin Au, Group President, Genting Hong Kong; Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International; Arnold Donald, President and CEO, Carnival Corporation & plc. and Pierfrancesco Vago Executive Chairman, MSC Cruises will take the stage on Thursday 10th October as part of the Opening Ceremony to discuss the State of the Asia-Pacific Cruise Industry.
